Burner Blocks

Refratory Engineers (REI) supplies burner blocks, specialized components used in industrial heating systems to house, protect, and direct burner flames, to a wide variety of industries. Burner blocks are essential in high-temperature environments where they stabilize combustion, control flame shape, and improve overall heating efficiency.

REI offer vacuum formed burner blocks that are used in tunnel kilns of steel plants. These burner blocks are much lighter weight than castable burner blocks and lead to safer and quicker installations. Additionally, REI also provides fiber burner blocks to the aluminum extrusion industry. These burner nozzles are used to line log ovens and billet furnaces.

REFRACTORY PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

  • REI and CTI pre-cast burner blocks as one of our in-house refractory services. We can provide dry-out services for burner blocks as well.
  • Vacuum Formed Burned Blocks (lighter weight insulation)

APPLICATIONS FOR BURNER BLOCKS

Burner blocks are utilized across various industries that require reliable, high-temperature thermal processing:

  • Gas-fired units for ceramic kilns, boilers, and ovens
  • Metal & Steel Plants - Used in steel reheating furnaces, billet furnaces, log ovens, and melt shops to maintain thermal integrity and aid lamination processes.
  • Glass & Ceramics - Utilized in glass melting furnaces and various kilns, including tunnel and rotary types, where they are designed to endure extreme heat and chemical exposure.
  • Energy & Petrochemicals - Used in boilers, fired heaters, fluid catalytic cracking units (FCCUs), and petrochemical process heaters.
  • Heat Treatment - Essential for furnaces that undergo frequent or heavy thermal cycling, as they safeguard the burner and maintain consistent heating performance.
  • Waste Management - Used in waste incineration kilns to support demanding and corrosive operating conditions.
